Experience
In Experience Emerson delivers the statement "Dream delivers us to dream, and there is no end to illusion" (228). By this Emerson means one's future has endless possibilities. Yet man does not not believe this. Instead he recognizes some of the possibilities and acts with in few of them. Emerson could also mean that man may also recognize his possibilities and and chose to be content where he is. Emerson strays away from his Self Reliance where he empowers man to stray from societal norms. In Experience he trust that mas has already found independence from social construction, he now crticizes on how one perceives the world and questions man contentment within it.

Jeff,
You're on the right track here but you needed to say more about how people's perception is skewed, according to Emerson.
